The study of Ayurveda traces through three foundational texts. Charaka Saṃhitā, attributed to the sage Charaka, organizes the internal medicine canon. Suśruta Saṃhitā catalogs the surgical practice of its time. Krishnamacharya, much later, threads Yoga and Ayurveda together as one continuous practice. Susan teaches in this lineage.
